About
Dr. Ramon (Ray) Kumar specializes in interventional and general cardiology. He trained at Harvard Medical School, UT Southwestern and Texas Heart Institute. In addition to previous cath lab leadership roles, he has written multiple journal articles and published book chapters in the field of interventional cardiology.
Dr. Kumar is passionate about providing individualized, quality care and treats his patients as his own family. In addition to treating cardiac disease, he also treats peripheral vascular disease, utilizing balloons, stents and atherectomy to improve blood flow in the legs.
When Dr. Kumar is not providing care to patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He enjoys pickleball, weightlifting, swimming, volunteer work, being a physics enthusiast and philosophy.
